The Klipsch Forte IIIs had the ability to render the attack and decay of the strings and percussion. It seemed like you could feel and hear the intent of each stroke or strike. Being a musician, I really appreciated the dynamic rhythmic pulse that the Klipsch Forte IIIs delivered on this music.I had the Natural Cherry with Salt and Pepper grille finish and have to say, the veneer was stunning. Just a nice sheen, and verging on the cuddly side, a bit like speakers from yesteryear. Not all glossy and shouty but carefully understated, with the grilles being a gentler alert to their presence in the room than the flat black of so many others. The Forte III is the most amplifier-sensitive loudspeaker I've reviewed: Careful upstream choices were essential. The Kuzma Stabi R turntable and 4Point tonearm / Hana EL cartridge handled analog; the Tascam CD-200iL CD player with BorderPatrol DAC SE spoke digital, connected by a lm run of Triode Wire Labs Spirit II interconnect. The Klipsch Forte II is a very nice speaker, one of the best Klipsch made.
